Propagroup is proud to announce its participation in the E-OilÉ project of Horizon Europe, which aims to develop safe and sustainable biodegradable packaging solutions for food and cosmetic containers.

The goal of the project is to identify and implement solutions that ensure a proper end-of-life for single-use packaging, a sector that poses particularly complex challenges due to material contamination and recycling difficulties.

The expected outcomes of the E-OilÉ project are to contribute to European strategies on industrial leadership, climate change mitigation, and circular economy, by developing new validated biodegradable polymers for flexible and semi-rigid packaging in the food and cosmetic sectors. The initiative also aims to provide a competitive alternative to fossil plastics without compromising performance, while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions and microplastic pollution. In this way, it will be possible to increase competitiveness and promote more sustainable production in the packaging sector.

Within E-OilÉ, Propagroup will contribute its know-how and technologies to the development of a special film, designed to reduce environmental impact and facilitate recovery and recycling processes. This collaboration is part of Propagroup's journey towards sustainable innovation, where quality, safety, and respect for the environment go hand in hand.
